In 1885, Clement Faugier, master confectioner at Privas, created the recipe for the "Cream of chestnuts of Ardeche that will revolutionize the breakfast and the snack of millions of children and parents!" From a simple idea to a great product that would feast several generations. Indeed the Cream of Marrons is a clever combination of broken Chestnuts, chestnuts previously steamed, syrup confection, sugar, vanilla... and a little genius.

We can't live without chestnut cream! We mixe it with yogurt or spread it on crepes and we melt with pleasure ;) ,

I really like this product. I use it on bread in the morning, for my petit-dejeuner (or sometimes, I just eat it by itself!). So good. And it reminds so much the French food. Love it!

One of the few things that I really miss here. So glad to be able to buy it (once in a while because it is expensive) to remind me of home and satisfy my sweet tooth.

Love the creme de marrons. Use it on toast and to make our own primitive but delicious Mont Blanc. Thank you for making it available.
